Two years ago, I was largely pregnant and my parents were in town for the weekend (hoping the baby would come, but he didn't). It was unseasonably warm...almost hot. And it had been warm for several weeks already.  I remember saying that I didn't know what time of year it felt like because it had been so warm for so long and my school year was about to end whenever I had the baby, so it seemed like May to me.  

Yesterday, DJ and I were outside playing with Jed in the backyard and I had a sudden flashback moment to the weekend 2 years ago.  Check out the difference a few years can make, and notice the difference in our surroundings too!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

It's anniversary week! Monday was DJ's parents' 41st anniversary.  Yesterday my parents celebrated 42 years. What awesome examples we have to follow.  Jared and Kerri are celebrating their 1st anniversary in just a few days.  And today is our 4th anniversary!  Here are a few pictures from the past years.  We've been out of the state for our first three.
  
1st Anniversary
We visited Jason & Lindsey in Southern California for a few days, we went to Disneyland on our actual anniversary, then we flew to Northern California to spend time with Kevin & Sarah.

2nd Anniversary
We road tripped to Colorado and spent some time visiting Vance & Celine, Bart & Camie and Rachael.  Then we did several things on our own, including driving up to Red Rocks.

3rd Anniversary
We flew to Austin the day after our anniversary to celebrate Jared & Kerri's wedding. 

 

The Alamo

4th Anniversary
Today we're going out for lunch. And then tomorrow, we're taking Jed to Grandpa & Grandma's and picking him up in the morning! And by morning, I actually mean noon.  I can't wait to sleep in! It will be my first night away from Jed. We haven't decided exactly what we're going to do, but it will include dinner and probably ice cream.  Maybe some sort of outdoor concert or movie. Who knows!? I'll post about it this weekend.
