a visit to Kindergarten

Jedidiah and I made a little trip to kindergarten today.  The kids were really excited, but a little bit shy.  That didn't take long for the shyness to wear off for a handful of them! I wish that I would have had some time to spend a little one-on-one time with each of them.  I'm sure the girls would have had lots of questions. I should have had someone writing down everything they were saying as I was sitting up in front of them.

My favorite was, "Mrs. Hornacek...your stomach is shorter."  Why thank you, Natalie!

"How many are you coming back?"  (This is not a typo. That is what he said.)

"How old is he?"
Me: "Four weeks."
"So how old is he?"
Me: "Four weeks."  *Blank stare*  "He's about 28 days old."
Another student-"Hey! YOU'RE 28 years and he's 28 days!!"
Another student-"He's zero."

They gave me a mother's day gift! I can't believe that I get to celebrate this mother's day as a MOM!!  They also made a prediction book about Jed.

last day of work.

I walked out of my classroom today for the last time in possibly a really long time.  Next week is Spring Break, and the baby is due in 6 days.  I took one last look at my desk and felt like I should snap a picture.  Then I walked out the door and shed a few tears.  But now I'm home, officially on break, waiting for my parents and Jared to get here, and waiting to deliver this baby!

I have been picture crazy this week and also felt the need to snap a picture every day before I went to work just in case it was the last day that I was pregnant.  Here are a few...

Or...maybe I'll have to go back to work after Easter. We'll see. C'mon little one...let us meet you!

valentine's day...kindergarten style

Our school had our Valentine's parties on Friday instead of actual Valentine's Day.  And here are some of the awesome things that I got...

Let's get a close up on the bear...shall we?

I got:
6 suckers
3 awesome tattoos
Some gum that has already lost its flavor since starting this post
A "Tangled" Valentine that was written for Mrs. Fletcher
Tons of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...my fave!
And lots of Cars/Star Wars/Disney Princesses Valentines

I love Valentine's Day!
