Keeping busy

Facetiming dad

Baby Nash came over!

My most recent chalkboard for some friends who got married last weekend.

Running around in our little living room and playing with the same toys every day can get a little monotonous.  So I searched Pinterest high and low to find toddler activities.  I found some cool ones that were totally free to make with the things I already had at home.

He's putting ping pong balls down these tubes.  When DJ joined in on the fun, he made a whole track that went down the stairs which was way cooler.  That's why dads are awesome.

Balloon Badminton (hit a balloon with a paper plate on a stick).  Then DJ added Jed's favorite characters which was way cooler than the plain paper plate.  That's why dads are awesome.

Play dough round 2

A few ladies from our MOPS table got together for a play date at a wooden play set store.  Their show room is open for you to play in ($5 per kid) and there's a little eating area where you can take a quick break to refuel.  Jed played forever. Up and down the slides a millions times. We most definitely will be going back!

First time for everything

Yesterday, DJ and I had the best day date.  It was so fun!  Patti came over on her day off to watch Jed while we went shopping, tried out a new coffee shop, then went to the grocery store to pick up a few ingredients for DJ to make an apple pie.  Yep...you heard it right.  He made a pie from scratch, and it tasted really good!

Maybe I'll give him tonight's dinner recipe and wait on the couch until it's done!

I was always better at taking pictures with my real camera when Jed was a baby.  Then when he started moving around and climbing, I apparently must have started putting my camera out of reach.  So when something was cute and picture-worthy, I never had time to get my camera before the moment was over.  As sort of a New Year's Resolution, I decided to not put my camera in the case (at home) and always keep it readily available on top of the fridge.  I know it's safe up there and I can grab it really quickly.  Hopefully this means that I'll be getting some better pictures....or just pictures in general. Stay tuned! Tomorrow Jed and I are previewing a session of Kindermusik!  And I'm bringing my camera and taking pictures no matter how uncomfortable I feel!

Library Time

Yesterday we went to Lego Jr. Time at the library.  He had so much fun playing with the blocks, balls,  puzzles, and toys & climbing on the chairs, that he didn't pay any attention to the books until the very end.  We'll probably go back another Friday!
