Friday Phone Dump

We couldn't stop celebrating our Anniversary.  On Saturday morning, DJ and I went to brunch on our own.

Anniversary Date

On Thursday, Jed and I met DJ for lunch at Ingredient...one of my favorite places.

On Friday night, we got sushi at Blue. It was so so good!

We ate dinner so late and walked around for so long that Red Mango was closed. So we thought we'd drive through Midtown on our way home and stop at Cold Stone. Closed. So we settled for Wendy's drive-through Frostys.  Ha!  It was a fun date.  And we get to sleep in on Saturday! 

Happy 4th Anniversary!

It's anniversary week! Monday was DJ's parents' 41st anniversary.  Yesterday my parents celebrated 42 years. What awesome examples we have to follow.  Jared and Kerri are celebrating their 1st anniversary in just a few days.  And today is our 4th anniversary!  Here are a few pictures from the past years.  We've been out of the state for our first three.
  
1st Anniversary
We visited Jason & Lindsey in Southern California for a few days, we went to Disneyland on our actual anniversary, then we flew to Northern California to spend time with Kevin & Sarah.

2nd Anniversary
We road tripped to Colorado and spent some time visiting Vance & Celine, Bart & Camie and Rachael.  Then we did several things on our own, including driving up to Red Rocks.

3rd Anniversary
We flew to Austin the day after our anniversary to celebrate Jared & Kerri's wedding. 

 

The Alamo

4th Anniversary
Today we're going out for lunch. And then tomorrow, we're taking Jed to Grandpa & Grandma's and picking him up in the morning! And by morning, I actually mean noon.  I can't wait to sleep in! It will be my first night away from Jed. We haven't decided exactly what we're going to do, but it will include dinner and probably ice cream.  Maybe some sort of outdoor concert or movie. Who knows!? I'll post about it this weekend.

14 months

i almost gave up on the months pictures.  the wedding, company, and the lazy days of summer (??) took priority.  i had to hurry up and sneak this picture in before he turns 15 months in four days.  whoops.  

he is repeating everything! i don't know if this makes any sense, but i feel like he and i have become "friends" this month. it's probably just because he's developing a personality and independence, and learning how to play and joke around.  our relationship has changed from me holding him and feeding him to us playing and laughing.  he got his first haircut (from dj). he loves the pool. he's obsessed with elmo (melmo) and mickey!!! how does that happen? he reaches for the xbox to turn it on (when he knows he shouldn't) and looks at me before he does it. and so it begins! he yells "wah waaaaaaaaaaaaah!!" at the tops of his lungs until you give him water. he's so funny. 

dare i say it again?...this is my favorite month so far.
