Embracing Fall

For as long as I can remember, Fall has been my 4th favorite season. Do that math. Dead last. It seems like Fall is, in my opinion, the end of all things good (summer, hot weather, no work/school, pool days) and the start of all things bad (football season, cold, school). But I decided that I couldn't live my life this way disliking 1/4 of the year. So I'm trying really hard to "Embrace Fall" this year. I do like pumpkins, pumpkin desserts, pumpkin spice lattes, fall candles, fires, Halloween, apple things, boots, and scarves. Whoa, maybe it's my favorite season! Ha! So I'm deciding to focus on those good things, dress warmer so that cold doesn't make me so mad, and realize that football game days mean snacks...amazing snacks.

With that being said, I'm trying to do fun fall things that make me love the season. Last Sunday, Jed and I went with Dennis and Patti to the AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City. Yesterday we went with Anna, Bentley and Charley to pick apples and have some coffee at Jay's Cafe. And then I decided to decorate our mantel for Fall to get me more excited! Since we have a fireplace now, the girls in my Bible Study suggested that we have s'mores when it's my turn to host.  I think I may be able to turn my feelings around and really enjoy this season!!

Riding this trolley was his favorite part of the day. It was just like the Daniel Tiger trolley.  On our way to the festival he started singing (loud enough for everyone to hear), "In Daniel Tiger's neighborhood. A land of make believe. Won't you...ride along with me? Ride alooooong.  Trolley...can take us anywheeeeeeere!!"

Apple Pickin' day

Hi Jed!

Hi Bentley!

The boys jumped on the trampoline at "Grandma" Karen's for SO LONG.

Happy Fall, y'all!
