22 months

Jedidiah...

-Loves hammers and drums.  And uses everything as a hammer/bat or drums on everything.
-Runs around in circles until he's dizzy
-Screams in a high-pitched voice when he gets excited
-Sticks his lips out, breaths quickly through his nose and shrugs his shoulders around when he feels cool.
-Likes to identify things that belong to people (mama's chair, dada's coffee, dada's keys, diah's cup)
-Says "take a bathtub" when he wants to take a bath
-Says longer strings of words
-Took several "field trips" this month: Kindermusik, the library, Bounce U, and Backyard Adventures
-Says "agillator" (for alligator) and "escavator" (for elevator/escalator)
-Tells you sorry if he accidentally hits you
-Started to become possessive and say "I neeeeed it" when he wants something.

He's becoming really funny.  THIS is my favorite stage.  (I'll say that next time too, I'm sure)

[the day after] Friday Phone Dump

Here are a few photos from the past few weeks.  Check back soon for some Valentine's fun!
Stories Coffeehouse

watercolors.  lots of water. not as much coloring.

A few weeks ago we previewed a Kindermusik class.  This class was for kids 18 months to 3 years old.  It was so fun.  They sang and moved the whole time.

Mother/son trip to Bucky's.  DJ was gone one Friday, so we had a wild night of gas station hot dogs and pop (for me) and watched Shark Tank.

Something about this picture looks like Lane to me!

Keeping busy

Facetiming dad

Baby Nash came over!

My most recent chalkboard for some friends who got married last weekend.

Running around in our little living room and playing with the same toys every day can get a little monotonous.  So I searched Pinterest high and low to find toddler activities.  I found some cool ones that were totally free to make with the things I already had at home.

He's putting ping pong balls down these tubes.  When DJ joined in on the fun, he made a whole track that went down the stairs which was way cooler.  That's why dads are awesome.

Balloon Badminton (hit a balloon with a paper plate on a stick).  Then DJ added Jed's favorite characters which was way cooler than the plain paper plate.  That's why dads are awesome.

Play dough round 2

A few ladies from our MOPS table got together for a play date at a wooden play set store.  Their show room is open for you to play in ($5 per kid) and there's a little eating area where you can take a quick break to refuel.  Jed played forever. Up and down the slides a millions times. We most definitely will be going back!
